STATEMENT OF WORK
ARRA H1N1 Influenza Guinea Pigs – Order No. 1505725
Description of Requirement:
This requirement will purchase animals that will support ongoing Influenza projects within the Division of Intramural Research, NIAID. The shipments of guinea pigs $65,000 will support the Influenza projects within the Laboratory of Viral Diseases that strive to meet public need for H1N1 therapies, vaccines, and diagnostics.
1. 799 (seven hundred and ninety nine) Hartley Guinea Pigs – Pathogen free. The guinea pigs must be the following specific pathogens free: Sendai, Pneumonia virus of mice, Reovirus, Lymphoccytic choriomeningitis virus, Guinea pig adenovirus, influenza A, B or C virus, B. bronchiseptica, H. bilis, H. hepaticus, Helicobacter sp., K. oxytoca, K. pneumoniae, Mycoplasma spp., P. multocida, P. pneumotropica, P. aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., Staph. aureus, S. moniliformis, Strep. pneumoniae, Strep. zooepidemicus, Beta Strep. sp. - Grp B, Beta Strep. sp. - Grp G, Beta Strep. sp., Tyzzer's Disease, ectoparasites, endoparasites, and E. cuniculi.
2. Gender: Female
3. Weight: 300-350 Grams
4. Delivery schedule: Approximately 17 (seventeen) animals every two weeks for 47 (forty-seven) shipments beginning in August 2010 through September 2012.
5. Special shipping requirements: The Guinea Pigs will be delivered in suitable crates.
SCHEDULE:
1. Quantity of 799 (seven hundred and ninety nine) Hartley Guinea Pigs.
2. All 799 (seven hundred and ninety nine) animals shall be female.
3. All 799 (seven hundred and ninety nine) animals shall have a weight of 300-350 Grams.
4. All 799 (seven hundred and ninety nine) animals must be pathogen free. Sendai, Pneumonia virus of mice, Reovirus, Lymphoccytic choriomeningitis virus, Guinea pig adenovirus, influenza A, B or C virus, B. bronchiseptica, H. bilis, H. hepaticus, Helicobacter sp., K. oxytoca, K. pneumoniae, Mycoplasma spp., P. multocida, P. pneumotropica, P. aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., Staph. aureus, S. moniliformis, Strep. pneumoniae, Strep. zooepidemicus, Beta Strep. sp. - Grp B, Beta Strep. sp. - Grp G, Beta Strep. sp., Tyzzer's Disease, ectoparasites, endoparasites, and E. cuniculi.
5. Must include shipping costs of animals which includes the proper crates.
6. Animal health must be guaranteed for 30 (thirty) days after receipt of the animals.
