2017 Ford Transit Build Out

Statement of Work

The 2017 Ford Transit vehicle shall have the following build out modifications and ancillary equipment permanently installed in the vehicle. There shall be two vehicles (quantity 2) that require modifications. The vendor shall be responsible for the procurement, installation, integration, and functional verification of all materials and equipment not listed as Government

Furnished Equipment (GFE) in this Statement of Work (SOW). The vehicles shall be provided by the customer and delivered to the vendor for the modification/build out work to be completed.

The customer shall take delivery of the vehicle at the vendor site after satisfactory work has been completed and requirements are met. The customer is requesting a cost proposal and estimated time to complete the work.

1.0 Building Standards

Number Requirements

1.1 AC installation meets or exceeds the current specifications of the National Fire Protection

Association’s National Electric Code. AC wiring is routed through protective conduit.

1.2 DC installation meets or exceeds the current specifications of the Society of Automotive

Engineers’ Ground Vehicles Standards.

1.3 Control and RF installation meets or exceeds best engineering practices of the industry.

1.4 Modifications to the Ford chassis meet the requirements of the vehicle manufacturer.

1.5 Safety labeling meets OSHA Safety and Health Standards for General Industry, Section

1910 guidelines.

2.0 Building Materials

Number Requirements

2.1 Insulation material shall be “Protex”, a double bubble insulation which stops approximately

97% of radiant heat.

2.2 Dry-Erase wall XL White Original Writeyboard 5’ x 11’.

2.3 Plywood for console shall be ¾ inch “Luan” plywood, a high strength and lightweight plywood.

2.4 Lonseal “Loncoin” for floor covering is long wearing, skid-resistant, and easy to clean.

2.5 Legend HD UltraGrip rigid ½” thick, 100% rubber coated, composite plastic pre-cut flooring.

2.6 Supertrac cargo multi-purpose, fully adjustable and lockable tie-down anchor system. Two sets of rails, 96” long and 16” apart, centered flush in flooring.

2.7 Exterior metals shall be either stainless steel or aluminum. All exterior threaded fasteners shall be stainless steel and all rivets shall be aluminum closed-end POP Brand or stainless steel.

3.0 Communications Vehicle – Chassis/Exterior

3.1 Heavy Duty, 220 amp, factory install alternator/charging system.

3.2 Additional engine battery.

3.3 Reverse alarm.

3.4 Reverse Alarm Defeat – a momentary defeat switch shall be located on the dashboard of the vehicle. Switch shall silence reverse alarm for quiet vehicle operation and shall automatically reset to reverse alarm function once vehicle is taken out of reverse gear.

3.5 GFE – Viper 3505 security system.

4.0 Operations Compartment

4.1 The vehicle floor shall be finished with skid-resistant Loncoin “Lonseal” flooring or

Legend HD UltraGrip.

4.2 In order to provide additional thermal and sound insulation, walls and ceiling shall be insulated with two (2) layers of “Protex” and shall be sealed and finished with Dry-Erase

Writeyboard.

4.3 Ten (10) ceiling mounted Whelen 5G white LED’s shall be controlled by a master rocker switch, located near the side sliding door. Lights shall be installed in two (2) rows, running

30” apart, down the center of the vehicle.

4.4 GFE – Four (4) 18” LED Gooseneck lights shall be installed along the length of the console, above wiremold wall duct with AC outlets. Gooseneck lights will be 12V DC powered and have an on/off dimmer switch located on each individual light.

4.5 GFE – Six (6), 15 amp, 120 volt duplex outlets with two (2) USB 3.0 ports shall be mounted above the console on the street-side interior wall. Outlets shall be evenly distributed above the console for ease of hook-up of customer furnished key cutting machines and/or computer equipment.

4.6 GFE – Two (2) Class ABC dry chemical, five (5) pound fire extinguishers shall be wall-mounted in quick release brackets. Fire extinguisher will have a UL rating of 1-A: 10-B: C and a discharge time of fourteen (14) seconds.

4.7 GFE – CO detector shall be installed on the curbside interior wall and shall be powered by the 9 volt DC system. Smoke detector shall be installed on the ceiling and shall be battery operated.

4.8 GFE – Class 6, 2 drawer safe shall be mounted directly behind partition on driver’s side, under countertop.

4.9 GFE – Adrian Steel Storage System and Partition shall be Perforated Center and Curb

Panel with door (S1M2HC2PM). Partition Wing Kit shall be attached to partition for high roof. Components shall be installed along the street-side wall, under the console and countertop.

4.10 Console shall be mounted on the street-side wall, spanning from approximately 12” in front of rear HVAC unit to the rear of the Adrian Steel Bulkhead Partition. Work surface shall be

18” deep and 38” from floor. Length shall accommodate 4 people. Countertop shall be fabricated from “Lauan” plywood and finished with “Formica” laminate with a bull-nose edge.

4.11 GFE – Two (2) 64” ceiling grab rails shall be installed inline, down the centerline of walk area within operational compartment.

4.12 Shore Power, 30 amp Twist Lock Inlet shall be mounted on the street-side of the vehicle.

4.13 GFE – Installation of Lifeline GPL 31 technical batteries to support inverter and DC equipment. Batteries shall be charged by vehicle alternator and by inverter/charger. Slide out try for batteries shall be installed in interior compartment.

4.14 GFE – Installation of Magnum 2.8 kW Pure Sine Wave Inverter/Charger; wire inverter to batteries with circuit protection; controlled by stand-by/off switch, located on mater switch panel.

4.15 Installation of Magnum ME-RC50 Remote Panel for inverter.

4.16 120 volt Duplex Plug shall be installed in a waterproof enclosure.

4.17 Panels within walls and ceiling shall be constructed, as necessary for structure, equipment mounting, or finishing. Aluminum or ¼” Lauan shall be used. Panels shall be covered in a gray, low-file carpeting.

4.18 Super Trac Cargo Anchor System, consisting of two (2) sets of rails, 96” in length and 16” apart, shall be mounted in the center of the operational area flooring, flush with flooring.
