STATEMENT OF WORK FOR BUNK BEDS/
MATTRESSES AT B861
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor and transportation necessary to provide bunk beds and mattresses to the individual dorm rooms and to remove and dispose of the existing mattresses that are currently in place. The old metal bunk beds frames and springs shall be removed from the building and placed outside in the designated spot determined by 502 CES. All materials and accessories shall be installed in accordance with (IAW) industry standards, manufacturer’s recommendations and this Statement of Work (SOW).
2. LOCATION: Building number 861 is located at 10474 H Street West. Site is located on JBSA Randolph AFB located in San Antonio, TX.
3. SITE DESCRIPTION: The building is occupied and there is no elevator in building 861; only stairs. It is a two story building with 72 rooms.
4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
• This project requires the delivery and installation of 72 Bunk Beds and 144 mattresses into building 861: Bunk bed Measurements shall be adhered to because of the size of the room:
o Length shall be no less than 84”L and no more than 84.5”L o Width shall be 40.5’’W o Height shall be no less than 35”H and no more than 36”H per single bed.
• Bunk Bed shall be Solid oak hardwood in a natural oak finish.
• The mattresses shall be included and shall be an XL Twin mattress adhering to the measurements of 38W’’x 80L’’ with a thickness of no less than 6” and no more 10’’.
• The contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of the old mattresses. The Contractor shall not use any of the base dumpsters. The Contractor can bring their own roll off dumpsters, if they choose. The Contractor’s roll off dumpsters shall be placed at the designated spot determined by 502 CES.
• The contractor shall remove all the old metal bunk bed frames and springs and placed outside at the designated spot determined by 502 CES.
• A room that has the existing items removed shall have the new items installed the same day.
• At the end of the period of performance:
o 72 existing metal bunk beds and springs shall have been removed from Bldg 861 and moved to the designated location. 72 new bunk beds shall have been delivered and installed into the rooms.
o 144 existing mattresses shall have been removed from Bldg 861 and properly disposed off-site or in the Contractor provided roll off dumpster to be disposed off-site. 144 new mattresses shall have been delivered and placed in each of the bunk beds in the rooms.
5. STORAGE AND PARKING:
No contractor storage is available for this project. The Contractor shall not leave stuff overnight on base. Parking shall be in the vicinity of the job site.
6. PROJECT SCHEDULE: Completion to be no more than 60 days after date of award.
7. HOURS OF OPERATION: The delivery and installation shall be performed during normal duty hours (7:30 A M. to 4:00 P. M., Monday thru Friday).
8. WORKMANSHIP: The Contractor shall perform all operations in a manner that will result in a professional and expeditiously completed project. The work shall be in strict accordance with the prevailing industry standards.
9. ACCESSORIES AND INCIDENTALS: Contractor shall provide all incidentals necessary.
Cost for these items shall be included as part and parcel of the finished installation.
10. INSTALLATION: The installation date shall be coordinated with the designated point of contact from 502nd CES/CEIH. That person information will be provided at time of award.
11. QUALITY ASSURANCE: The government shall inspect all work performed by the contractor. Work performance shall be deemed satisfactory and acceptable to the government when the 502nd CES/CEIH declares the project satisfactory.
12. CLEANUP: The Contractor shall collect all trash, debris, refuse, garbage, and mattresses etc., which is generated and remove from the site daily.
13. PROTECTION: The contractor shall take precautions to prevent damage to government property.
The contractor shall repair or replace damaged items at no additional cost to the government. All items installed shall come with 1 year warranty.
14. COMPLETION OF WORK: The contractor shall ensure that work for this project is performed in accordance with the criteria herein, and that all relevant materials, finishes, equipment, and systems shall be fully operational at the completion of work for this project.
15. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
