State Demonstrations to Integrate Care for Dual Eligible Individuals Amendment 3

1. For States that receive support for the implementation of their models, how long will these demonstrations run? Do you have any information what the potential funding for them will be?

Additional funding support for the implementation of proposed State models is contingent on the availability of funds and approval of a State’s demonstration design. For States that do receive this additional funding support, we anticipate a multi-year extension to the design contract. Further details regarding this option will be provided at a later date to States receiving design contracts.

2. Is there going to be a charge to obtain Medicare data, and if so, what charges should be included in our budget request?

We anticipate the costs associated with the request/receipt of Medicare data for the purposes of care coordination for dual eligibles would be nominal, if any, to States. However, States should in keep in mind any additional costs that may be associated with building/enhancing their current IT/data infrastructure as well as those associated with the secure storage and analysis of such data.

3. What is a CAGE code?

The CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Code is a 5-character alphanumeric unique identifier assigned by the Department of Defense. It is assigned to you once you are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR collects data from suppliers, validates and stores this data, and disseminates it to various government acquisition agencies, and is the single point of entry for vendors that want to do business with the Government.
