Request for Information (RFI) M67854- 22-I-7301 for Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Quantico, VA Field Service Representative for AN/TPQ-49 & AN/TPQ-49A RADARS
This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The information provided herein is for information only and is intended to initiate communication with industry in order to assess market potential. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. Responses to this RFI that indicate that all information therein is proprietary or represents confidential business information will be received and held in confidence for U.S. Government use only.
MARCORSYSCOM is conducting a market outreach to identify potential sources that can provide technical assistance and guidance in support of the AN/TPQ-49 and AN/TPQ-49A Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR). The LCMR, is a man-portable, all-terrain, and all-weather tracking and targeting system that determines incoming fires general location and direction so military units can employ rapid, effective counter-fire.
The support will require:
1. Field Service Representative (FSR) support which encompasses on-the-job site training in the operation, maintenance, repair and modification, and technical assistance in troubleshooting and repair of system malfunctions of the AN/TPQ-49 and AN/TPQ-49A Radars.
2. The contractor shall provide technical and engineering resources via Contractor Headquarters Support for the FSR technical and engineering resources to assist the FSR personnel, via telephone, email or other electronic communications, in identifying the cause of, and effecting the repair of, system malfunctions which the FSR personnel are unable to resolve on their own.
3. Telephonic/Electronic Reachback in technical and engineering resources troubleshooting, operating or otherwise maintaining the AN/TPQ-49A Radar.
Responses to this RFI will allow MARCORSYSCOM to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources, and whether, if any, future efforts may be competitive or Set-Aside for Small Businesses. Any future contractual arrangement are anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price, commercial contract.

Response:
Vendors are invited to provide a short narrative on how they are able to support this requirement. Interested vendors are requested to submit a cover section of 1-2 pages with the requested Vendor Information, a Capability Statement addressing the items identified herein, and related documentation of 2-5 pages. In addition, vendors may provide literature such as pamphlets or brochures, if available.
