The USDA, ARS, Northwest Irrigation and Soils Research Unit, Kimberly, ID requires the following specified components for a 3-Channel Flow Injection Analyzer.

Specifications for a Brand Name or Equal to FIAlab Instruments FIALYZER 3000 3-Channel Flow Injection Analyzer in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 Limited Sources:

1. The detector must be an array spectrometer. Displays the full absorbance spectrum in real time.

2. The system must have an EPA approved fluorescence method for TKN & Ammonia without the need to switchover manifolds.

3. The footprint must be no more than 30 inches deep and 30 inches wide to fit on available lab bench.

4. The system must utilize a 1.7 mm ID bore inside Lab on Valve to prevent clogging instead of the 0.8 mm ID (or smaller) typically used in previous Flow Injection systems.

5. Throughput for Ammonia (Salicylate) must be 80 samples/hour.

6. Full view of fluid movement in the manifolds is required.

7. The system must include analyzer accessory with absorbance flow cells that provide an up to 100 mm path.

8. The system must include an FIA instrument that is fully redundant with each channel. Each channel must have its own24V power supply, LED light source, and detector. The unit must operate from a standard electrical outlet, 240v max.

9. Must be able to analyze samples while running with different variables, i.e., changing wavelengths.

10. The software must be compatible with Windows 10 or Windows 11 and written in C++. There should be no restriction on the number of users or license use.

11. The system must be compatible with and include an Autosampler that holds up to 240 samples in 15ml centrifuge tubes and include four racks.

12. The software must include features such as automated QC/QA protocol to monitor accuracy and precision along with QC limits for each QC check standard (relative and absolute).

13. Will include on-site installation and training for two or more users.
