Food and Drug Administration, The Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Regulatory Science (ORS), Winchester Engineering and Analytical Center (WEAC) Preventative Maintenance agreement Five autoclaves.

Request for Quote #125914

April 20, 2022

1.0 Background

Autoclaves are an essential piece of equipment in the microbiology laboratory. They are needed to sterilize media used in regulatory work and research and to decontaminate bio-hazardous waste so it is safe for disposal. Because of their central role autoclaves are heavily used and can be prone to break-downs if not properly maintained. When an autoclave is not functioning properly the work-flow of the laboratory can be severely affected. A well-executed comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for WEAC’s laboratory autoclaves will help reduce the incidence of autoclave break-down and ensure lab efficiency. The following list of WEAC autoclaves requires a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan. There are 5 autoclaves in total.

1.1 Objective

The Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Regulatory Science (ORS), Winchester Engineering and Analytical Center (WEAC) requires an autoclave preventative maintenance agreement (safety checks and repairs) for five autoclaves.
