About this file
This sole source justification memorandum proposes awarding a firm fixed price contract to SubSea 20/20 for two Ocean Sonics icListen hydrophones. Naval Surface Warfare, Carderock Division requires the hydrophones to interface with an existing subsea digital multiplex for testing at the Bangor Waterfront and deployment on the San Diego Undersea Signature Range array by March 29, 2024. Market research found the Ocean Sonics hydrophones to be the only equipment meeting the requirements of a high dynamic range from 10 Hz to 200 kHz. SubSea 20/20 is the sole authorized Ocean Sonics distributor for the western United States coastline, and NSWCCD has already tested and developed interface software for the hydrophones over the past year.
