About this file
This justification document approved a sole source award for phone support, repair, and replacement services for wireless technology and monitoring devices. The Bureau of Prisons requires 24/7/365 phone support with a 36-hour response time, unlimited access to a dedicated technical support help desk, and repair or replacement of any defective parts under an extended warranty. The period of performance is from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022 for an estimated cost not to exceed $682,170. The justification cited 41 U.S.C. 4106(b)(2) and FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B) in determining the awardee as the only provider capable of meeting the Bureau's quality and specialized needs for uninterrupted operations in support of its mission. The contracting officer also confirmed the anticipated fair and reasonable price according to the terms of the SEWP V contract under which it was awarded.
