MODIFICATION OF CHAMBER AND CONTROL ROOM
STATEMENT OF WORK
1 Introduction
The requiring activity is the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The requiring office is the Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department (B Dept.), Electromagnetic Effects Branch (B50), Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) Assessment and Evaluation Branch (B52). The B52 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Test and Evaluation (T&E) group performs MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 emissions and susceptibility testing to ensure warfighter safety and capability. The ETS-Lindgren reverberation chamber is used for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and EMI testing. The original chamber was manufactured and installed by ETS-Lindgren back in 1999. The chamber and control room require modifications to increase the Government’s testing capabilities. The period of performance is two-months.

3 Requirements
The Contractor shall provide all materials, hardware, and labor to modify the reverberation chamber and control room in Bldg. 110B. Upon completion of the modification, the Contractor shall ensure that the chamber provides the ability to test larger/heavier articles (greater than 2-person lift).
3.1. The Contractor shall perform a baseline test in accordance with MIL-STD-285/IEEE-299 to ensure shielding of reverberation chamber and control room is maintained or improved.
3.2 The Contractor shall remove the computer floor in the control room to lower the floor flush with the rest of the building in order to allow larger/ heavier items to be moved into the chamber.
3.3 The Contractor shall remove the two (2) double doors on the chamber for reinstallation after the floor is lowered and the door jamb is modified. The Contractor shall ensure the doors are maintained in the same condition as they are when removed.
3.4 The Contractor shall modify the panels and door jambs to lower the door sill to the lowest height possible to accommodate larger test items. The Contractor shall supply the materials to modify the jambs.
3.5 The Contractor shall reinstall the two (2) double doors in the new jamb.
3.6 The Contractor shall clean, lubricate, and adjust the door system on the chamber.
3.7 The Contractor shall replace any broken or damaged contact fingers on the door system.
3.8 The Contractor shall perform a radio frequency (RF) verification test in accordance with MIL-STD-285/IEEE-299 at 1 GHz on the chamber and the control room after all work has been completed.
3.9 The Contractor shall coordinate the visit with the TPOC identified below to schedule the modification.
NOTE: The Government will be responsible for preparing the existing facility and core infrastructure to accommodate the modifications. This includes Removing any equipment in the control room prior to the start of modifications.
4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY/MATERIAL/INFORMATION
(GFP/GFM/GFI)
4.1 The Government will provide access to the chamber in Bldg. 110B for work completion.
5.0 SECURITY
This work is unclassified. An escort will be assigned to the ETS-Lindgren Technicians and will remain while the work is being completed.
6.0 TRAVEL
The Contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and must be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
