Clamshell Style Shelter Requirements Document For 704th Test Group/Det 1 23 Feb 2022

1.0 Purpose:

Due to increased demands of the RAMS test range, the NRTF requires the purchase of a clamshell style shelter to store the test equipment already on site, and support future equipment purchases.

2.0 SCOPE

The contractor shall deliver a Clamshell style shelter that meets the following:

2.1 Physical Requirements:

2.1.1 Shelter dimensions must be 100’x 40’x 13’.

2.1.2 Shelter frame requires high strength aluminum or lightweight equivalent metal capable of with-standing environmental conditions documented in sections 2.2 through 2.2.3

2.1.3 Shelter cover requires high strength fabric capable of with-standing environmental conditions documented in sections 2.2 through 2.2.3

2.1.4 Shelter requires two (2) windowless solid core personnel doors

2.1.5 Shelter requires an electrical kit with a minimum of 6 led lights, 6 outlets, and panel box with generator hook up capability

2.1.6 Shelter requires two (2) full sized, 40’ wide by 13’ high, openings at each end capable, of being opened electronically with a manual open over ride option in the event of power loss

2.1.7 The shelter will be installed locally by 49 Materiel Maintenance Group and as such, installation is NOT required.

2.2. Operational Requirements:

2.2.1 Shelter requires capability of operating in the following weather conditions: snow, rain, hail, blowing dust/sand/dirt up to 90 miles per hour and ambient temperatures as low as 20 and as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit

2.2.2 Shelter required to be capable of being installed on a level dirt/gravel surface.

2.2.3 Shelter delivery vehicle must be capable to deliver on unprepared roads to a remote location

3.0 MILESTONES

The Contractor shall deliver the shelter no later than 90 days ARO.

4.0 DELIVERABLES

The contractor shall deliver all hardware and operating documents to 704 Test Group/Det. 1 Attn: Shane Eastman 575-572-1045. The delivery driver will be provided access to Holloman Air Force Base by 704 TG/Det. 1 personnel In Accordance With (IAW) local base guidelines and escorted approximately 50 miles to RAMS on White Sands Missile Range. Prior coordination for delivery will be required for access.
