Q&A Solicitation no. R17PS00408 Amendment #1

1. I’m looking for a clarification with regards to the 24” clearance referenced on line 8.b. 24” wide obstruction running lengthwise midway between beam centerlines … Is in addition to the clearances shown below?

The issue appears to be item 9 (maybe?) … If so, in relationship to the top of the monorail (S18” x 54.7#), where does this 24” obstruction begin and end? In the photo it looks like the eye which might protrude 8” to 9” down and that would be it (meaning if we clear that at that elevation, we are OK ). The reason I ask ... a motorized hoist is 29” on one side and it cannot be changed but it appears that it will be well below these “eyes” (#9) 8.b. 24" refers to another smaller hoist that is used and is temporarily installed during the gate rebuilds that hangs between the 2 monorail or (underslung) hoists from the eye in question.

2. You require two sets single girder electrical hoist with capacity 20 ton, is that correct? And for the control methods, it should be cable pendant control. But for the details, you want to have buttons to control A hoist and B hoist, and also have button to control A hoist and B hoist running at same time, right?

Require 2 underslung chain hoists 20 ton ea. Yes. On the controls. A or B or A&B.

3. What is the lifting height of the hoist?

Hook center to bottom of beam required travel range is 1’-5 1/2” minimum and 26’-6’ maximum

4. What kind of materials you intend to lift by the hoist?

What we intend to lift has no bearing on this solicitation.

5. The voltage, the frequency, the phase in your place is 460V, __Hz 3 Phase, could you please confirm?

The voltage is 460/480V 3 phase 60 hz input. (It is being used in the United States)

6. What is the working frequency of the hoist The input signal will be at 60HZ but to achieve 7.c and 7.g it will require a variable frequency drive or similar installed.
