PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)

ANNUAL GENERATOR MAINTENACE FY21

SYNPOSIS: Perform annual maintenance on three 800kW Kohler Generators (Model: 800REOZMB), one 2000 Amp Kohler Transfer Switch (Model: KCT-AMVA-2000S), and Kohler Switchgear (Model: SGP).

GENERAL INFORMATION: Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, parts, transportation, tools, and equipment necessary to perform required work. Areas to work will be: power generation shelter, room 200. Located just south of building 74 on Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.

COORDINATION OF WORK: No work shall be performed until the Contracting Officer has issued a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor. All work shall be coordinated between the Contractor and the Project Inspector for access to building and/or coordination with building custodian/occupants.

HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday-Friday / 0700-1600

SERVICES SUMMARY (SS):

All maintenance should meet or exceed manufacture guidance.

· Full System Inspection: A comprehensive inspection of each generator (3) engine’s cooling, fuel, lube, air, exhaust, and starting systems; as well as inspection of the engine monitors, safety controls, and control panel.

· Full Oil Service: Lubricating oil, lubricating oil filter, fuel filter will be changed, and oil & coolant analysis performed on each generator (3).

· Filter Change Service: Engine air filter change on each generator (3)

· Load Bank Test: Load test at 75% of each generator (3) 800kW plate rating, using resistive load bank(s). A minimum of 2 hour load bank test of each generator (3) unless otherwise determined by application or generator size.

· Fluid Analysis: Additional fluid analysis that is not already included in other service levels on each generator (3), 150 gal day tank (3) and 12K gal storage tank. Basic Fuel Contamination (FA1) for basic particulate, condition, bacteria and water contamination checks.

· Transfer Switch Inspection: Inspect and clean the automatic transfer switch (ATS). This includes utilizing an infrared heat gun, checking buss bars and connections for hot spots. The voltage drop across load contacts is measured. With client’s authorization, verify proper operation of the ATS, time delays, and indicator lamps and/or LEDs.

· Switchgear Inspection: Inspect and clean the switchgear as required. This includes utilizing an infrared heat gun, checking buss bars and connections for hot spots. With client’s authorization, verify proper operation of the switchgear.

· Full Report: A detailed full report after all generator, switchgear, and transfer switch actions have been complete will be delivered to the site for historical records.
