About this file

This solicitation requests proposals for a robotic single-cell printer with washing station. The National Institutes of Health National Institute on Drug Abuse requires this equipment to efficiently separate single cells and place them into 96- and 384-well formats for downstream applications such as whole genome amplification, PCR, and next-generation sequencing preparation. Responses are due by July 28, 2022 and should be submitted electronically, including pricing, shipping costs, delivery timeline, and other terms. The award will be a firm-fixed price purchase order issued to the responsible offeror whose proposal most advantageously meets the government's requirements considering technical capability, price, and past performance.

Version 11-30-2016-1 FAR Part 11—Describing Agency Needs

PURCHASE DESCRIPTION

1. Statement of Need and Purpose: NIA utilizes single cell omics/cell editing techniques (e.i. CRISPR), and requires equipment to efficiently separate out single cells, and placed it into into 96- and 384-well format.

2. Background Information and Objective: Single-cell omics, Low-volume assays

(WGA, PCR, NGS setups) and cell line production are fast developing scientific areas.

Single cell omics required appropriate instruments for this work and the required equipment will serve as approriate tool.Currently NIA has a QPCR machine where 384-well plates can be analyzed. The process of aliquoting reagents by hands to 384-wells currently take about 1.5 hour with reduced reproducibility. The objective is obtaining a Robotic cell sorting/ washing station with the ability to make 1 plate in 25 seconds with very low error. Combination of these two instruments will give the National Institute on Aging (NIA) a huge increase in productivity, when NIA can separate and analyze 384 single cells within several minutes.

3. Generic Name of Product: Robotic single-cell printer with washing station, for handling liquid cell suspension for WGA,PCR, NGS preparation..

4. Purchase Description: F.SIGHT OMICS (single cell priner); I.DOT DW (Non-contact, low volume dispensing system), C.WASH (centrifugal plate washer). Company Dispendix (CELLINK LLC)
