About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for laboratory equipment maintenance services from Agilent Technologies, Inc. The procurement covers maintenance, support, repairs, parts, supplies, software, and hardware support for Agilent Technologies equipment used by the Division of Agricultural Environmental Services and Division of Food Safety. The contract is set to run from execution through June 30, 2026, with a solicitation posted on 04/29/2025 and a response deadline of 05/20/2025. The procurement supports critical analytical systems used for complex chemical residue analysis in food, pesticide regulatory programs, the USDA Pesticide Data Program, and the Food Emergency Response Network.

The estimated contract value ranges up to $200,000.00, with an approximate committed amount of $127,691.16. Agilent Technologies is identified as the sole source provider, being the original equipment manufacturer and the only known source of maintenance, parts, and supplies for the specific laboratory equipment. The single-source justification is based on the unique nature of the equipment and the critical role it plays in the department's regulatory and analytical capabilities. The procurement is not restricted to a specific type of organization and will be posted on the Vendor Information Portal to ensure transparency, in accordance with Section 120.57(3) of Florida Statutes. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information demonstrating their ability to supply similar services, with the department reserving the right to determine if services are available exclusively from a single source.
