PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATION

EXPORT CONTROLLED DATA: This document contains technical information whose export is governed by U.S.

International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). This information must not be transferred to a foreign person/entity without proper authorization of the U.S. Government. Violations may result in administrative, civil, or criminal penalties.

1. SCOPE:

1.1 Title: Propulsor 1A and Leading Edge Ring; repair

1.2 Location of Work:

1.2.1 Propulsor Enclosure (Off-Hull)

1.3 Identification:

1.3.1 Quantity: (One EA), Propulsor, Forward Assembly , MFR:

1.3.1.1 Quantity: (One EA), Propulsor PC. 1A

1.3.1.2 Quantity: (One EA), Propulsor Leading Edge Ring

2. REFERENCES:

2.1 Standard Items, (FY-21)

2.2 S9245-AZ-TSM-010, Submarine Ducted Propulsor; Installation, Inspection, Repair, Maintenance, and Certification

2.3 NAVSUP WSS BOA , Technical Data Package, (TDP)

3. REQUIREMENTS:

3.1 Accomplish the requirements of 009-90 of 2.1, for the cleaning, inspection, and repair of equipment listed in 1.3.1 and located in 1.2.1.

See Note 4.1.

3.1.1 Provide the services of a qualified technical representative to repair equipment listed in 1.3.1, in accordance with the requirements of 2.2, 2.3, and OEM proprietary drawings and specifications.

3.1.1.1 Submit one legible copy, in approved transferrable

media, of a report listing the results of 3.1.1 to the

SUPERVISOR.

3.2 Accomplish repairs to equipment listed in 1.3.1, located in 1.2.1 and in accordance with 2.2, 2.3, and requirements provided by NSWCPD 426.

3.2.1 Repairs shall not begin prior to authorization from NAVSEA 05P3 or NSWCPD 426.

3.2.2 No deviations to repairs shall be made without authorization from NSWCPD 426.

3.2.3 Perform local Visual Technical Inspection (VTI) of the

repaired areas.

3.3 Submit one legible copy, in approved transferrable media, of a report listing the results of 3.2 to the SUPERVISOR.

documented in accordance with the requirements of 2.2 and 2.3.

3.4 Accomplish the requirements of 009-32 of 2.1 for new and disturbed surfaces.

4. NOTES:

4.1

4.2 All interference shall be removed by ships force and PHNSY & IMF as required.

4.3 PHNSY & IMF shall provide all rigging and crane service as required.

4.4 PHNSY & IMF and ships force shall be responsible for the disposal of all solid and liquid waste generated during the execution of this contract.
