In compliance with 14.205 - Presolicitation notices.

New requirement: Pavement Marking from Slaters Ln to Roaches Run (North and South

Bounds) at George Washington Memorial Parkway

(Note: This is a small business set-aside)

In lieu of initially forwarding complete bid sets, the contracting officer may send presolicitation notices to concerns. The notice shall-

(a) Specify the final date for receipt of requests for a complete bid set;

March 15, 2023

(b) Briefly describe the requirement and furnish other essential information to enable concerns to determine whether they have an interest in the invitation; and

The work requires to provide the labor, equipment, and material needed to remove existing pavement markings and reapply new pavement markings according to the contract plans.

The pavement marking material is specified on the schedule of values and it is described in the project specifications (FP‐14). The work includes lane lines, marker, symbols, sign, and wooden post installation. This project is for the north bound (NS) and south bound (SB) on

George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). This section of the parkway begins at

Slaters Ln and ends at the exit onto the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport traveling north (about 2.25 miles). The exact limits are shown on the contract plans. All pavement marking work will be in accordance with current Manual Uniform Traffic

Control Devices (MUTCD) standards. The major work items include: (1) Maintenance of

Traffic during construction, (2) Remove existing pavement markings, (3) Install temporary pavement markings, (4) Apply permanent pavement markings, (5) Install sign and wooden posts.

(c) Normally not include drawings, plans, and specifications. The return date of the notice must be sufficiently in advance of the mailing date of the invitation for bids to permit an accurate estimate of the number of bid sets required. Bid sets shall be sent to concerns that request them in response to the notice.
