Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service, MWR NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation replace the water supply line at George Washington National Monument at Diamond, Missouri. The government will use a competitive Request for Quotes, FAR Part 13 process. The solicitation number will be 140P6320Q0078.
This project includes all work and materials to complete the replacement of approximately 1,100 linear feet of 3” waterline and 590 linear feet of 1 ½” waterline. Work also includes installation of isolation valves and connection to existing City of Diamond, Missouri service.
This project is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses using NAICS Code 237110 with a size standard of $39.5 million.
The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The National Park Service, Midwest Region (MWR), NEKOTA MABO, intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to this solicitation.
The government intends to issue a formal solicitation with construction specifications on or about August 19, 2020.
If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow.
The responses will be due approximately 22 days after the solicitation issue date and it is anticipated that quotation due date will be September 10, 2020. The specific date will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
A Pre-Quote site visit is scheduled to begin at the George Washington Carver National Monument’s visitor center at 9:00 AM Central Time on September 1, 2020. Contractors must contact Julie Gavin, julie_gavin@nps.gov, 605- 574-3193 to RSVP for this site visit.
The anticipated period of performance will be approximately 60 days, which includes mobilization time. Tentative project start date is scheduled for late September 2020. The final performance period start date may be slightly adjusted dependent on the final award process and dates and park schedules.
The solicitation package including specifications, drawings, wage determination, and experience questionnaire will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://beta.sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award.
