Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation to modernize the two-stop elevator at the Agate Fossil Beds Visitor Center and bring it up to National Elevator Code 2010. Work include upgrades to fire alarm, minor electrical lighting, and hall call station. Cab/Finishes, platform, sling, hoistway entrance and sills, and guide rails shall be reused. The government will use a competitive Request for Quotes, FAR Part 13 process. The solicitation number will be 140P6321Q0047.

This project is solicited being solicited under full and open competition under NAICS Code 811310 with a size standard of $8 million.

The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA MABO, intends to award a firm-fixed price, service contract in response to the solicitation. The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with specifications on or about June 8, 2021. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow.

The responses will be due approximately 21 days after the solicitation issue date. The specific date will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.

A site visit may be scheduled with the park once the solicitation is issued. Contractors must contact Chance Phillips, chance_phillips@nps.gov to RSVP schedule a site visit.

The anticipated period of performance will be approximately 90 days. Tentative on-site start date of September 1, 2021 is projected. The final performance period start date is contingent on issuance of the award.

The solicitation and applicable specifications wage determination and experience questionnaire will be available on https://sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. Electronic quotes will be accepted per the terms of the solicitation that will follow this notice.
