About this file

This is a packaging requirements document (AFMC Form 158) for purchase instrument FD20202500343-00 that specifies military packaging standards for wood packaging materials (WPM). The document outlines compliance requirements with United Nations restrictions on WPM, specifically addressing concerns about invasive species like the pinewood nematode.

The requirements specify that all wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and undergo heat treatment (56°C/133°F for 30 minutes), with certification/marking required by an American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) accredited agency. The document lists multiple items (various 6110DTG2501 series) with "No Packaging Data Required" designations, except for item 6110016608072FD which requires MIL Long Line Packaging at preservation level MIL and packaging level B. Specific unit pack dimensions are provided (26.5" x 12.5" x 10.5") with a weight of 23.30 and cube of 2.012. The document was prepared by Charles B Davis of 406 SCMS/GULAA on January 21, 2025.
