| Text1: The Foreign Disease-Weed Science Research Lab in Fort Detrick, Maryland has a requirement for a Percival model PGC-9/2 Growth Chamber. The total estimated dollar value is $37,260.00. |
| Text2: Percival Scientific (505 Research Drive, Perry, Iowa 50220) manufactures plant growth chambers which meet the minimum specifications of this requirement. The Intellus Control system used by Percival is critical to compatibility and emergency response for the lab. The lab requires growth chambers to include compatibility with the Percival Intellus communication system. The lab has 11 Percival chambers in containment, and they use Percival's standardized programming and recording of environmental data. It would not be in the Government's best interest to purchase a growth chamber which is not compatible with existing equipment, programs and on-going experiments. |
