1. Based on what you know about the IAP Regional IT Specialist (RITS) position, please describe how you satisfy each of the required qualifications/evaluation criteria listed below.
• Five years’ experience as a highly successful Peace Corps Post IT Specialist.
• Completion of education or training resulting in a baccalaureate degree, or the host country academic equivalent, in the fields of computer science, information systems management, or equivalent. Related work experience may be substituted for a baccalaureate degree on a case by case basis.
• Technical capabilities with GSS configuration.
• Ability to communicate clearly and consistently in English – orally and in writing. Spanish competency desired.
• Recognized by post, region and ISS team as innovator of process improvement with technology.
• Strategic, methodical problem solver with proven diagnostic and problem solving abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively face-to-face or at a distance.
• Well-organized and disciplined in planning and scheduling workload.
• Well regarded by as technically competent by peer IT Specialists.
• Demonstrated ability to interact well with all levels of post staff.
• Ability to travel regularly – up to one week per month in the region.
