About this file

This document outlines packaging requirements for an inert impulse cartridge for intercontinental ballistic missiles. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD 129R and MIL-STD 2073-1E standards for military packaging and marking. Wood packaging materials like pallets and boxes must be constructed from debarked wood and heat treated to prevent the spread of invasive species. Each shipping container must include markings that meet MIL-STD-129 standards for military marking, as well as any additional bar coding or identification numbers specified on AFMC Form 158. Packaging specialists are available from the 406th Supply Chain Management Squadron located at Hill Air Force Base to assist vendors.
