Question #4: What materials are being disposed of?
Answer: Tires, old appliances, rubbish, We are not anticipating any food or hazardous materials.
Question #5: Doe NPS have a preference of disposal site?
Answer: No
Question #6: Will NPS pay disposal charges directly to landfill or hauler?
Answer: Hauler. Costs must be included in offer (per ton)
Question #7: Are the roads paved to access the proposed rolloffs?
Answer: Yes
Question #8: Are there time or day restrictions that the hauls may be completed?
Answer: Mon-Fri 7:00am to 4:00pm only
Question #9: What is the expected frequency of hauls per week or month?
Answer: No more than 2 per week per location.
Question #10: Is there security clearance required for entry at each location?
Answer: No
Question #11: What type of material will be placed into the dumpsters?
Answer: Tires, old appliances, rubbish, We are not anticipating any food or hazardous materials.
Question #12: Approximately how many hauls are anticipated from sites 1, 2 & 3?
Will the frequency of the hauls be spread evenly during the 8 months of the Period of Performance?
Answer: The initial delivery/Pick-up and then one more delivery/pickup . They need to be picked up as needed.
Question #13: Approximately how many hauls are anticipated from the Big Cypress HQ site 4? Will the frequency of the hauls be spread evenly during the 8 months of the Period of Performance?
Answer: One dumpster 4 times or four dumpsters 1 time. They need to be picked up as needed.
Question #14: Can sites 1, 2 & 3 be accessed from I-75? If so, can you please describe whether this is East Bound or West Bound, and if large trucks can re-enter the Interstate and return from the direction they came from?
Answer: Locations 1,2 and 3 can only be accessed from West bound I-75. As an alternative to locations 1 and 3, dumpsters can be dropped at location 2. This will remove any gravel road issues. If a truck is coming from the east, there is a 12 mile trip to the west for the next turn around on-ramp. If the truck is coming from the west, the turnaround on-ramp is 1 mile east of location 2.
Question #15: What is the condition of the access road for sites 1, 2 &3? Is it paved?
Answer: Location 2 is paved. As an alternative to locations 1 and 3, dumpsters can

be dropped at location 2. This will remove any gravel road issues¿so locations 1 & 3 will be removed and rolled into #2.
Question #16: What is the condition of the access road for site 4? Is it paved?
Answer: Yes
Question #17: Are each of the 4 container sites large enough, and the road condition firm enough, to allow large, heavy, Roll Off trucks to maneuver and turn around easily?
Answer: Yes at Location 4. Yes, if using location 2 as an alternative to locations
1 and 3.
Question #18: Please verify that all materials will be non-hazardous. Hazardous waste requires very different handling and disposal from non-hazardous waste.
Hazardous waste cannot be mixed with Non-Hazardous waste.
Answer: Non hazardous Only
Question #19: Additionally, will there be a significant number of tires (more than
5)? If so, can they be separated into one of the 20-yard dumpsters without other miscellaneous refuse being placed into the same container with the tires?
Answer: More than 5 and yes we would put tires in dedicated dumpster, nothing else mixed in.
Question #20: It does not sound like 10 containers need to be rented. It sounds like there will be approximately 10 full container hauls, total. A 20yd container is about 22 ft. long and 8 ft. wide, and takes up quite a bit of space.
Additionally, a driver, can only pickup one container at a time for a haul to the disposal site and can provide service as a ¿swap¿ whereby an empty container is left at the site at the same time a full container is removed. It does not sound like you will have a large volume of refuse. I recommend rental of one or two containers for location 2 (depending on whether there will be a dedicated roll off for tires) and one container for location 4. Service can be provided as needed with 48 hours notice. Note that Roll Off trucks are very heavy and will have trouble on gravel or dirt roads, so it would be better to have no containers located at sites 1 & 3.
Rental of a total of 2 or 3 containers vs. 10 containers will definitely save you some money.
Answer: It is 10 dumpsters total that are needed between what is now sites 1 & 2.
Question #21: Regarding access to site 2, please provide the highway exit numbers from I-75 that lead to the paved access roads. Additionally, please provide the number of miles that need to be driven on the paved access roads from both the the
I-75 west-bound exit and the I-75 East-bound exit to get to, and from, site 2. The service vehicles will need to make a round-trip, thus they will have to travel both east and west on I-75. We must have a mileage calculation to provide a quote.
Answer: Site #2 is at MM51 on the north side of I-75. Site #4 HQ area is 33100
Tamiami Trail East Vincent already described accessibility coming from west or east regarding the I-75 site
Question 22: I¿m still confused about whether 10 physical containers are needed with about 2 hauls each for the entire 8 month period, or if 10 hauls are needed, Continued ...

but fewer physical containers sitting at the sites. If 10 actual containers are needed at the sites for the full 8 months, please confirm there is enough space for all 10 containers.
- 6 containers at site #2 will require an area of at least 70 feet x 25 feet plus room for a large truck to turn around.
- 4 containers at site #4 will require an area of at least 50 feet x 25 feet plus room for a large truck to turn around.
Answer: We don't need 10 dumpsters all at once. We will only have 10 pick-ups total. Not 10 with 2 hauls each. 2 dumpsters can be delivered to each location and then they can be swapped out until we reach 10 loads total. There will be no hazardous waste.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged and the time in which offers are due is not extended. The question period is now closed.
