Statement of Work for Embedded Electronics Support Technician

1. Contractor shall provide 1 embedded support technician certified for Milestone and Lenel.
Embedded support technician work includes, but is not limited to:
Systems Maintenance Task:
Liaison between Facilities & Corporate IT(CIT), departments
· Server Database Checks: Preventative Maintenance Services Checklist
· Microsoft Updates/Service Packs: SQL and Operating System
· Manufacturer Updates/Service Packs: Lenel ACS and Milestone VMS System Commissioning & Configuration:
Coordinate Site/Integrator Requirements
· Pre-Construction review of integrator scope Coordinate CIT Requirements
· IP ports and addresses (confirm connectivity) Database Programming
· Partitions, naming conventions Integration Configurations
· Tailor event action sequences to specific site needs Troubleshooting:
System Failures
· Assess and determine SOC or Site Issue
· Coordinate, direct, and implement resolution
· Replace equipment as provided by the facility
· Assess and determine CIT engagement
· Interface with Level 2, Level 3 backup support and or Manufacturer System Optimization:
False Alarm Mitigation
· Establish unacceptable event thresholds
· Monitor event thresholds to identify top offenders
· Identify cause and resolution Improve Processes
· Assess operator procedures
· Develop operator triggers for “event procedures” to improve processes
· Custom report development and distribution Audit & Compliance Support
· Coordinate routine sign-off process for areas of responsibility
· Operator responses, officer response, two-man rules, etc… Inventory Management
· Develop custom inventory spreadsheets for monitoring and maintaining networks
· Consolidate network inventory documentation
· Optimize network naming conventions and structure
· Develop processes for adding/removing equipment from inventory System Design
· Provide Technical design assistance/consultation on electronic networks
· Recommend system upgrades, modifications and implementations for budget planning Training:
· GSOC Operator Training
· Site Administrator Training
· System Integrator Training (VA Medical Center System Standards)
· Additional Contract Requirements – The above services will be performed by a dedicated certified support technician with support by the security contractor. Contractor will provide coverage for absence or vacation time. Contractor shall have 2 participating offices within 50 miles of the facility. Contractor shall be a milestone platinum dealer and Lenel certified VAR. Support technicians shall be regularly employed technicians of the contractor. Support technician shall either have a T1 or NACI clearance level or be capable of acquiring a T1 or NACI clearance level through the VA BI process. Must comply with Davis-Bacon act wages and certified payroll.
· Quality Control – Support technician shall follow all codes and VA guidelines while supporting the facility. Work area shall be properly cleaned and organized. Relocation of VA equipment shall be properly documented and reported through the VA logistics department.

2. Working hours shall be between 7am and 330pm Monday through Friday. Support Technician is required to check in and out with the Electronics shop supervisor each day to report daily duties.
