About this file
This document is a Limited Source/Brand Name Justification under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for a simplified acquisition by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Arizona. NRCS Arizona requires the purchase of five (5) Topcon HiPer VR Base and Rover Kits, including GPS receivers, tablets, software, and associated accessories. The justification cites FAR 13.106-1(b)(3) for soliciting these items using a brand name, as they are required to be compatible with the agency's existing Topcon equipment and support services. The contract was awarded to CARON EAST, INC. on September 20, 2024 for $195,649.10. The contract includes delivery, installation, training, and technical support for the equipment.
