About this file

This document is a Single Source Justification for Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure the Air Innovation SSC 4500 Sterile Storage Cabinet. The VA is seeking this specific cabinet model as it uniquely meets the VA's requirements for environmental controls for the storage of critical and semi-critical reusable medical equipment, without the need for additional utility installations. The VA conducted market research but did not find any other vendors offering a comparable product, as this cabinet model is only available through Aldevra on the open market and not on any existing federal contracts. The Contracting Officer has certified this as a valid sole source procurement.

The related federal contract opportunity is an RFQ (Request for Quote) for the SPS Air Innovation Sterile Storage Cabinets, issued by the VA Veterans Integrated Service Network 4. The solicitation number is 36C24424Q0807.
