2. Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount:
The Coatesville VA Medical Center uses a ScriptPro pharmacy system and needs to purchase an additional new Brand Name Only ScriptPro EyeCon Model 9420 Counting Device. ScriptPro’s bulk load vial dispensers allow users to replenish vial dispensers by pouring vials directly from the vial box into the dispenser. This robust design and large capacity bring efficiency and reliability to vial replenishment.
Purchasing an additional EyeCon for the Pharmacy Vault will aid with assistance in filling/verifying prescriptions and completing 72 hour Controlled Substance inventories. This includes Delivery, and or installation onsite support start to finish.
Estimated Amount:
3. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used:
This ScriptPro Eyecon system is what the Coatesville VA Medical Center currently has on station, which was procured in September 2016. We are seeking an upgraded vial dispenser that needs to be compatible with the current robot. This is the only vial dispenser that will be compatible with the current equipment.
Coatesville’s pharmacy has had this technology in-place since FY’2016, and this addition will ease technician burden filling the vials into the robot, which will increase productivity for faster patient care. The facility already uses Script-Pro Robotics, our infrastructure is setup to use only ScriptPro Machines for medication, for prescription filling, and verification. ScriptPro is the sole proprietor of the Robotics and workstations for prescription workflow we require, they are the only manufacturer capable of fulfilling this requirement.
4. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted:
Medical Center already uses ScriptPro for pre-existing medication solutions.
ScriptPro is the sole proprietor of medication filling, verification, and counting solutions that will work with existing systems at our facility.
