The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors with the capability to provide and install patient ceiling lift hoists, motors and hangers that meet the following salient characteristics:

1. Model that supports weight up to 500lb

2. Model that supports weight up to 500lb with Scale

3. Model that supports weight up to 770lb

4. Model that supports weight up to 770lb with Scale

5. Lifting speed shall not exceed 2.5 inches per second with zero load.

6. Lifting speed shall not exceed 1.5 inches per second under maximum rated lift capacity.

All motor models shall include hoist, hanger and trolley that are compatible with Guldmann GH2 ceiling lift track rails (which are already installed at the facility), ceiling lift slings and existing power sources. All motor models must be equipped with modules that are compatible with

Guldmann Care Lift Management (CLM) and service modules.

Ceiling Lift Hoist Installation shall be performed by OEM trained technicians who are authorized to work on the equipment. All ceiling lift motors shall have certified installation, weight load test performed following installation , and completed VA Corrective and Preventative Maintenance

Checklist for Ceiling Mounted Patient Lifts (see attached). Contractor shall be able to ensure that the equipment functions in conformance with the latest published edition of NFPA-99, UL, OSHA, and VA standards. Once installed contractor will assume liability for system.

All interested, responsible sources must submit a brief summary of their capabilities to this office by Noon Central on August 24, 2020 to include detailed description of the firm’s proposed equipment and experience with installing proposed equipment, DUNS number, name and phone number of a point of contact in case further information is needed. Summaries must be submitted via email to susan.pasholk@va.gov. This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes to determine availability of qualified vendors and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this Sources Sought that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. The procurement will be competed under

NAICS 339113. Please note that this is not a request for proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only.
