SPECIFICATION

LOADER BACKHOE

1.0 SCOPE:

This specification is for purchase of a new loader backhoe for use on a military installation in the Mojave Desert. The Integrated Training Area Management Program, National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA requires a loader backhoe suitable for use in rough terrain, remote locations, and high temperatures.

2.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Delivery to: ITAM Office, Bldg 6109, Fort Irwin, CA 92310.

· Must meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final Emissions Standards.

· 3 YR/1,500 HR Extended Warranty, Powertrain Only.

· Vendor shall provide user and technical manuals (in English) specific to the piece of equipment provided.

3.0 LOADER BACKHOE REQUIREMENTS:

· Machine shall be CAT 430F (or current equivalent CAT model).

· Net power: 95-100 hp

· Operating weight (nominal): 15500-16500 lbs

· 4-Wheel Drive

· Standard stick.

· Grouser type stabilizer pads.

· 4WD radial Michelin tires.

· Boom wear plate group.

· Two piece wide cutting edge.

· High ambient temperature cooling system.

· Loader requirements:

· Bucket capacity: Minimum 1.3 cu yd

· Lift capacity at full height: Minimum 7000 lbs

· Clearance at max dump height: Minimum 9 ft

· Backhoe requirements:

· Dig depth: Minimum 15 ft

· Reach: Minimum 19 ft

· Loading height: Minimum 13 ft

· Cab: Fully enclosed with heating, air conditioning, safety glass, ride control, and ROPS.

· Standard light package.
