ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

The Very High Speed Integrated Circuitry Central Computer "Plus" (VHSIC CC+ or VCC+) NSN: 1270-01-514-4336FX and NSN: 1270-01-063-5567FX are used solely on the F-15C/D model aircraft. The VCC+ NSN: 1270-01-514-4336FX is currently in use and has replaced NSN: 1270-01-063-5567FX. The Very High Speed Integrated Circuitry Central Computer (VHSIC CC) NSN: 1270-01-381- 9494FX and NSN: 1270-01-364-1245FX are currently no longer in use. The VCC NSN: 1270-01-381-9494FX was previously used on the F-15A/B/C/D/E model aircrafts and removed from all aircrafts in the year of 1996. The VCC NSN: 1270- 01-364-1245FX was previously solely used on the F-15E model aircrafts and were removed from all aircrafts in the year of 2005 with the ADCP.

Both the VCCs and VCC+s are high-speed, stored program, general-purpose digital computer processor. They are designed to perform mission-oriented computations with data received from control panels and subsystems. Both VCC+s have a 1.5M words of bulk memory along with batteries for data retention. Both of the VCCs and VCC+s provide/d the warfighter with required computer processing power and throughput to run the F-15’s operational flight programs, which enables utilization of weapons, transfer of information along the busses, and provides status of related systems. The VCCs and the VCC+s also enable interfacing between the F-15's Radar, the Programmable Armament Control System, Air Data Computer and Air Data Processor.

All VCCs and VCC+s must be conform to the requirements called out in the Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP). These procedures were developed and designed by Lockheed Martin. There is no commercial or non-development repair capability available to meet these requirements. There are no commercial products, sheets, test data, qualification data, support manuals or related data that defines the performance and manufacturing characteristics of the VCC+. The item drawings were created by Lockheed Martin, and these drawings are source controlled. At this time, Lockheed Martin retains all data rights, manufacturing knowledge, and technical data.
