Multi-Channel Electronics Statement of Work
One custom-designed Multi-Channel Electronics, for the readout and operation of Goddard's Backshort-Under-Grid, 1280 pixel, bolometer arrays. The readout system shall be a duplicate of those provided for the recent High-Resolution Airborne Wideband Camera Upgrade (HAWC+) detector arrays, and those currently being supplied for the Primordial Inflation Polarization Explorer (PIPER), with the exception that this readout electronics set is intended for use in the laboratory, thus will not require flight-worthy enclosures.
Specifically, the electronics are required to work in concert with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), 32 Column X 40 Row + 1 dark Row, Time-Domain Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) multiplexer/bolometer array hybrid. The MCE shall be designed to attach directly to the cryostat and shall be constructed within a Faraday enclosure. Goddard will provide the cryostat mounting hardware.
Power to the MCE shall be provided by means of one, switching-mode power supply.
Instrument firmware and computer software for the operation of the MCE hardware shall be provided. Goddard will provide the computer.
Additionally, one 100-pin MDM Breakout Board shall be provided.
Delivery shall be made within 12 months after receipt of order
