SPECIFICATIONS

ITEM BEING PURCHASED: High Performance RADAR Transceiver

Shall meet the following specifications:

A high sensitivity W-Band 95 GHz Millimeter Wave Radar System

The system shall be comprised of :

- A Fixed Frequency Phased Locked Local Oscillator (LO) with internal reference power divided and mixed with

- An Up-converter Assembly o The Up-converter shall be typically comprised of o A Local Oscillator (LO) Input o (LO) Frequency Multipliers o Associated (LO) Bandpass or High Pass Filters o W-Band Radio Frequency (RF) Output o Associated (RF) Bandpass or High Pass Filters o Integrated W-Band (RF) Amplifiers o Optional Transmit Isolator o Optional Transmit Polarization Kit

- Design Flexibility for the Transmitting Up-converter Assembly (RF) output to

Interface to a W-Band Transmit Antenna which shall be a;

- W-Band Standard Gain Horn (Pyramidal or Conical)

And/Or

- Optional W-Band Lens Antenna (Narrow Beamwidth)

Cassegrain Reflector Antenna

Hybrid X-Band Flatplate Waveguide / W-Band Microstrip Array Antenna

Hardware Gating

- The Up-converter assembly should also have mute control for optional modulation and pulse operations

The above described antennas shall also interface with a Down-converter Assembly

- A Down-converter Assembly o The Down-converter shall be typically comprised of o A W-Band (RF) Assembly Input o Optional Receive Polarization Kit o Integrated W-Band (RF) Amplifiers o Associated W-Band (RF) Bandpass or High Pass Filters o Variable W-Band Antennuator o A Mixer o W-Band (RF) Mixer Input o (LO) Mixer Input o Associated (LO) Bandpass or High Pass Filters o (LO) Frequency Multipliers o An X-Band Intermediate Frequency (IF) Assembly Output

- (LO) Power Divider

- Associated and properly connectorized bench checkout cables for the various assembly input and output ports.

- The RADAR System and associated assemblies shall be capable of being powered with either 8 volt or 12 volt DC power supplies on the bench or on an aircraft.

- Primary RADAR Components and Assemblies shall be available for delivery within a 60 – 90 day time horizon with partial deliveries if necessary and 120 day allowable for the Local Oscillator.

- The RADAR unit is intended to be a laboratory bench top evaluation and capabilities demonstrator with some degree of bench top hardware design flexibility. An upgrade path as an aircraft flight demonstration unit is expected of the laboratory bench system.
