4-Axis UT Immersion Scanner/SOW 1
STATEMENT OF WORK
4-Axis Ultrasonic Testing Immersion Scanner
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the requirements for a four axis ultrasonic testing immersion scanner.
2.0 REQUIREMENTS
The vendor shall provide equipment, software, and training that meets all JSC technical requirements as listed below in Section 2.1, TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS.
2.1 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Immersion Tank
48” X 36” X 24” deep
Water filtration system
Scanning Axes
Four motorized axes (X, Y, Z and turntable) with limit switches and mechanical stops
24” diameter turntable with manual centering chuck and maximum load capacity of at least 250 lbs
Manual Z-axis gimbals for both conventional and phased array transducers
Through-transmission yoke with manual gimbals
Handheld four axis control pendant
All required motor drivers, controllers, encoders, operating electronics, wiring and cables
Two-axis encoder out connector for an Olympus OmniScan MX2 instrument to allow phased array scanning
Ultrasonic Instrumentation
Conventional Pulser/Receiver
High speed A/D digitizer, 12 bit, 125MHz minimum
Transducer Kit: 1 to 4 four conventional immersion transducers and two 64 element phased array immersion transducers (5 & 10 MHz)
Software and Work Station
UT software package (Windows 7 or above compatable)
Motion control software that allows for scanning with OmniScan MX2 being used for phased array data acquisition and display
Workstation w/ monitor

Software and computer backup disks
Onsite (JSC) installation & training
3.0 DELIVERABLES

3.1 WARRANTY
The vendor shall provide a minimum of 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects;
software upgrades for the duration of the warranty; and online and/or on-call software and hardware technical support.
