Attachment 1.
Specifications and Minimum Performance Requirements for 32 channel High Speed, High Bandwidth Data Acquisition System
A. Analog input
1) Minimum of 32 channels based upon VXI-C, 5-slot chassis configuration.
2) All channels shall incorporate an independent, per channel, 16 bit Sigma Delta ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) and must have an output to DRAM (16bit) word rate of 5 MHz. with simultaneous sampling.
3) Each channel shall have 16 Mega Samples of un-shared DRAM data memory.
| 4) Each channel shall have a differential input, with a minimum input impedance of 2 Meg Ohms, | 1 Meg to ground. |
| 5) Input channels shall exhibit greater than 80db of channel to channel crosstalk rejection. |
6) Input channels shall possess greater than 80db of common mode rejection at 10 volts..
7) Each channel shall have independent software programmable full scale input ranges from +/- 10mV to +/- 5V, 19 ranges, in nominal 3db steps.
8) Each channel shall have auto-tracking Nyquist Anti-Alias Filtering based on sampling speed.
9) Each channel shall have a flat Bandwidth response from dc to 1.0MHz +/-0.1db at 2.5M sample/sec (All full scale ranges)
10) Each channel shall have a Bandwidth response from 1.0MHz to 2.3MHz -3db @ 5M sample/sec or better. (All full scale ranges)
11) System channels shall have a Linearity of +/- .05% of full scale
12) Each channel shall have accuracy after auto calibration of +/- .1% of full scale +/- 50µV
13) Each channel must have programmable constant voltage bridge conditioning.
B. System Characteristics
1) The system shall provide an input and output interface capability minimizing wiring and test setup.
2) Buffered, input full-scale range tracking, analog signal output for each channel with a source impedance no greater than 50 Ohms.
3) The system shall be a turn-key system, including host computer system, cabling, user interface setup and control software, and manuals.
| 4) The system shall provide, on an independent channel by channel, or group of channels, basis, | input sensor signal conditioning for the following: |
| a. Constant voltage | |
| b. Constant current: minimum 4mA of drive with nominal 30V of compliance | |
| c. DC Coupling | |
| d. Single Ended | |
| e. Differential |
5. Triggering The system shall be capable of user selectable and programmable trigger characteristics, to include and not limited to:
| a. External TTL compatible sources. |
| b. Internal from data On one channel per card. |
| c. Windowing |
| d. Pre and Post trigger data recording |
| e. Level and slope |
| f. Real Time Analog Trigger – On one channel per card. |
6. The system shall be capable of self calibration and verification.
7. The system shall be capable of expansion to greater than 32 channels using multiple 5 slot chassis with common triggering and shared/synchronized clock, or 96 channels using multiple 13 slot large chassis.
8. The system shall be capable of utilizing a UPS / VBB battery backup for data stored in DRAM.
9. System test setup and configuration shall be capable of being stored, printed, and recalled for fast and repeatable test setup.
C. Training, start up, and support
1) A minimum of two full days of user training shall be provided.
2) One full year of technical support shall be provided.
3) A complete turn-key system shall be delivered and installed/started up.
