STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)
(SOW)
GENERAL INFORMATION
Title of Project:
Service contract for 2 Waters HPLC and 1 LC-MS systems
Statement of Need and Purpose:
The order shall provide a service contract to maintain 3 instruments in working conditions for the synthesis of PET radioligands
Background Information and Objective:
We have purchased a manual HPLC system, an automatic HPLC system, and a LC-MS system.
We need a service contract to maintain the instrument in working conditions.
Period of Performance:
Base Year: 9/30/19 - 9/29/20 $30,516.44
Option Year 1 9/30/20 - 9/29/21 $31,431.94
Option Year 2 9/30/21 - 9/29/22 $32,374.88
Option Year 3 9/30/22 - 9/29/23 $33,346.16
Option Year 4 9/30/23 - 9/29/24 $34,346.00
TOTAL $162,015.42
SCOPE OF WORK
General Requirements:
Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, not otherwise provided by the Government as needed to perform the Statement of Work below:
This order is to purchase a service contract. This requires personnel to maintain and repair 3 Waters’ instruments.
Waters service contract for 1 manual HPLC system, 1 automatic HPLC system, and 1 LC-MS system.
(1) 1 manual HPLC system
(2) 1 automatic HPLC system
(3) 1 LC-MS system
Specific Requirements:
At time of PM, a trained engineer will replace all parts subject to wear as defined in the product specific PM checklist. All parts are guaranteed genuine Waters Quality Parts, and they are included in a comprehensive PM parts kit which is provided for each and every PM visit. The thoroughness of Waters Performance Maintenance program ensures both maximum reliability AND maximum performance. After PM visits, all parts and labor used in corrective maintenance will be 20% off.
a. Waters Quality Parts: Approximately 50% of all Waters HPLC and UPLC parts are manufactured by Waters directly. The majority of these parts cannot be alternatively sourced; Waters manufactures its parts using specific quality standards, packaged under proprietary critical clean conditions; Waters stocks the largest inventory of parts so that global supply is assured.
b. Technical Expertise: Customer technical support on Waters instruments, informatics and chemistry are only available from Waters on Waters systems;
Applications support on Waters systems is only available from Waters; Waters service engineer support is only available to Waters service engineers.
c. Training: Waters service engineers are trained by Waters factory-certified trainers who are kept up to date on all system updates and global customer feedback. This cannot be replicated by any other service organization; Customer training on Waters systems is only available from Waters; Only Waters offers complete systems-certified training to Waters service engineers.
d. Upgrades: Waters instruments may be entitled to factory-directed updates and these are produced only by Waters; Instrument and software upgrades for Waters systems are only available from Waters.
e. Compliance: Waters offers the only automated qualification protocols on Waters systems.
f. Remote monitoring & diagnostics: Waters offers the only platform capable of accessing instrument diagnostics remotely on Waters systems
LEVEL OF EFFORT:
Engineer will perform the maintenance and repair. Normally 8 hours per visit.
GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide the contractor with access to Waters equipment that requires maintenance.
DELIVERY OR DELIVERABLES
Provide ongoing service to the Waters machines.

Travel:
Travel of technician is needed, but the expenses should be covered by the service provider.
