STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)

(SOW)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

CTF MEG System Maintenance Statement of Need and Purpose:

The MEG Core Facility operates a 275 channel whole head CTF MEG system as a shared resource for the Intramural Research Program of NIMH as well as other institutes. MEG, magnetoencephalography, is a sophisticated technique allowing high resolution recording of brain activity and as such forms a vital part of the neuroimaging research program. The instrument is in full time use by over 40 investigators as part of the program mission of the institutes. In order to insure availability of the system and reliability of patient data a full time maintenance contract is essential.

Background Information and Objective:

The CTF MEG system was purchased and installed in 2002. The system has been under a full service maintenance contract that has been renewed each year since 2002. The NIMH Core Facility CTF MEG System will need service maintenance on the system.

Period of Performance:

September 16, 2018 to September 15, 2019

SCOPE OF WORK

General Requirements:

Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, not otherwise provided by the Government as needed to ensure the continued operation of the NIMH MEG system.

Specific Requirements:

We require an all inclusive service agreement as appropriate to maintain the operational integrity of the NIMH Core Facility CTF MEG System. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the tasks and deliverables. Deliverables include customer support, emergency support, preventative maintenance services, access to replacement parts and product repairs, software patches and updates. Preventative maintenance will include maintenance and testing of the cryogenic system, patient support system, gantry, electronics and utility racks, EEG system, and magnetically shielded room (MSR). Maintenance will also entail general maintenance and testing of SQUID calibration and tuning, flux transformer and amplifier tests, noise tests, and testing of the head localization system.

LEVEL OF EFFORT:

The level of effort shall be that necessary to meet the requirements and scope as described includes one short preventative maintenance of 3 days, and one long preventative maintenance service of 9 days, with 1 or 2 days being longer than 8 hours. The maintenance contract should also include a materials cost credit of at least $20,000 CAD, 10 days of on site indicental support, and 40 hours of technical support time.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The NIMH will provide full access to the MEG Facility as required for service.

DELIVERY OR DELIVERABLES

Service and deliverables shall be as described in the Technical Service Agreement.

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

The contractor is required to provide written reports for all service visits covering all work completed during the specified period and shall present the work to be accomplished during the subsequent period. This report shall also identify any problems that arose and a statement explaining how the problem was resolved. This report shall also identify any problems that have arisen but have not been completely resolved and provide an explanation.

Travel:

Travel shall be at the contractors expense except as indicated in the Technical Service Agreement.
