NICHD-21-214 Questions & Answers

1. Will the genome that is being sequenced be only human or will there be mouse genome, as well?

Answer: We are working with both human and mouse samples, so, there will be a mix of both.

2. Can you give a little more insight as to how many samples will be processed?

Answer: We have started a new project and we anticipate needing about 100 lanes of sequencing, with a yield of 740M PE reads per lane, with a read length of 150 bp (per read). We won’t be sending all the samples at the same time, we will send maybe 3 samples to be run in 3 lanes per week. Also, we will have a mix of sample types, mouse and human, and chip-seq and whole genome sequencing.
