About this file

This document is a Requirements and Specifications document for Microwave Amplifiers with 1.5K Noise Temperature and Accessories for the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Quantum Microcalorimeter Group. NIST requires 5 amplifiers working in the 4-8 GHz bandwidth with 1.5K noise temperature, high IP3 saturation point, and appropriate accessories to bias the amplifiers. The document details the specific technical specifications for the required items, including the RF bandwidth, noise temperature, noise figure, gain, power requirements, and connectors. It also outlines requirements for separately priced options and services, shipping and delivery, inspection and acceptance, maintenance, government-furnished equipment, and any travel needed. The document is associated with a pre-solicitation notice (Solicitation Number NB687080-24-01673) for this requirement, which is assigned a NAICS code of 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Interested vendors are invited to submit capability statements by 11:00 a.m. MT on 7 June 2024.
