Can you please let us know what features need to be part of the demonstration version. Is it only item 4 "The demonstration version shall allow one group call between P.25 & 3GPP systems" or all items 1 to 4 from "Specification A."Item 4 is the only specification for the demonstration version
If the contractor is not able to meet the 60 days' time frame for a demonstration version can the contractor indicate in the RFQ response their proposed time frame for the demonstration version.Since this is a best value procurement the vendor may propose changes to the specification.
Does the contractor have to provide the MCPTT PTT client for testing or will this be supplied by NIST?NIST will provide the MCPTT client
Confirm that the Motorola ISSI implementation provided by PSCR is the version that has passed CAP testing (according to this document)The ionformation available to us indicates that the Motorola ISSI 8000 which we have has not been tested for compliance yet. We don't know what document the question refers to.
What facilities will be provided to generate group calls initiated from P25 subscribers or from LTE UE?NIST has a number of LTE Ues and Motorola, Harris and Tait radios which will be used for the group calls. Our Motorola system is an Astro25 P25 system running sofware version 7.18 with an M core and 1 repeater site and 1 zone. Our Motorola system has 4 trunked radios (1 control and 3 traffic channels) and supports both P25 Phase I and Phase II. Our Motorola system also has 2 conventional radios. Group calls will be performed at NIST facilities in Boulder, Colorado. THe vendor will be afforded access through a VPN and NIST personnel will coordinate activities with the vendor during NIST working hours.
Will they be another RFQ for a commercial IWF after this RFQ for for IWF emulator? The intention is to procure a commercial IWF in the future, but future procurements cannot be guaranteed.
Will NIST be supplying the test cases for the demonstration & fully functional version?NIST will work with the vendor on test cases which will be 3GPP compliant.
Will NIST be responsible for lab setup, lab issue trouble shooting and technical support for Nemergent MCPTT server and Motorola P25 core?Yes.
