SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION A - SOLICITATION/CONTRACT FORM

The following have been modified:

INDUSTRY Q&A

Question 1: Can the Government please provide additional information regarding the kinds of servers the Host Adapters will be going into?

The Government is unable to provide any further specific detail on the types of servers beyond what is included in the SOW and this RFQ amendment.

Question 2: Will the Government allow substitutions for the 1200W power supplies?

The Government requires a minimum of 1200W. Any deviations from the requested 1200W power must be consistent with 208V power availability and adequately justified in the quote. However, the Government would like to emphasize that this is a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) requirement , therefore trade-offs for higher power will not be made.

Question 3: Can the Government please confirm the SOW requirement for CentOS Version 7.

The Government requirement is for Red Hat version 7. For clarification – the Government will be providing the Red Hat license numbers to be loaded. Please see the amended SOW which removes reference to CentOS which was originally included in error.

Question 4: Is the Government able to accept alternative sizes for the SSD?

The Government requires a minimum 512GB SSD, per the SOW. Any deviations resulting in a smaller size will be technically unacceptable. Substitutions for a larger size may be acceptable. However, the Government would like to emphasize that this is a LPTA requirement, therefore trade-offs for larger SSDs will not be made.

Question 5: Can the Government accept alternatives encryption methods instead of the self-encrypting hard drives?

Self-encrypting hard drives are required.

Question 6: Please clarify the quantity of compute nodes required.

The Government requires 20 compute nodes. Please see the updated SOW in Section C.

Question 7: Is it acceptable to deliver compute nodes with a small SSD or hard drive as opposed to the diskless configuration listed in the SOW?

Yes this alternative would be acceptable. Please see the updated SOW in Section C.

Question 8: Is the Government able to accept higher quality components than are listed under hardware requirements, or are the listed components strictly required?

Yes, equal or higher components would be acceptable. Any deviations will require statements of volatility. The Government would like to emphasize that this is a LPTA requirement, therefore trade-offs for higher quality components will not be made.

Question 9: Can you please specify if certain quantities are requested for each line item of the procurement?

Please see revised RFQ.

Question 10: Is a preferred implementation of MPI (Message Passing Index) requested?

No, as long as there are not conflicts with the chosen HPC Fabric (Intel Omni-path).

Question 11: What compiler(s) are requested--anything other than GCC (GNU Compiler Collection)?

No.
