STATEMENT OF WORK

3.625” INCH DIA ROUND BARS
MATERIAL REQUIRED:
CLIN 0001
Material is 3.625 Inch Diameter X 18-22 Ft Length Steel (Round) Bar, Qty: 100 each
Material shall be SAE 4130 Alloy Steel per SAE AMS 6348E or SAE AMS 6528E, normalized, except macrostructure shall be no worse than S1-R1-C1 in accordance with ASTM E381-22.
Material shall be ultrasonically tested in accordance with AMS-STD-2154E, Class A.
***Metal has to be in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7036, Buy American Act, Free Trade
Agreements, and Balance of Payment Program. ***
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Material Certifications in accordance with ASTM E381-22 specifically macrostructure no worse than S1-R1-C1. No exceptions will be made.
Ultrasonic Testing Certifications in accordance with AMS-STD-2154E, Class A
10% Variance in Quantity Allowed
FOB: Destination
DELIVERY:
Delivery should be 90 days after contract award. ***Earlier delivery is strongly encouraged.
PRESERVATION, PACKING, AND PACKAGING:
Steel bars shall be packaged 5 each per bundle. Waterproof tag with contract number, mark for information and heat code number shall be attached to each bar. Each steel bar shall be metal stamped on both ends with the heat code number in characters no larger than 1/4 inch high.

CONTRACT CLAUSE THAT MUST BE ADDED TO CONTRACT:
Due to the Steel Mills being unable to roll an exact amount of bars, when the contract is awarded, the contract needs to have the Variation in Quantity Clause added (52.211-16). The permissible variation shall be limited to: 10% increase; 10% decrease. The increase or decrease shall apply to the total contract quantity.
