Question and Answers

Question 1: Will the new motor sit exactly where the existing motor is today?

Answer 1: Yes

Question 2: Will there be any modifications to the pad or motor foundation?

Answer 2: No

Question 3: Is there detailed drawing of the existing motor?

Answer 3: The Government does not own the data rights to the existing motor.

Question 4: Is this for a new direct current motor system complete with new motor, cat walk, lubrication system and external forced air system?

Answer 4: The new motor will work with our current system. It does not require new cat walk, lubrication system or external forced air system, but must work with our existing cat walk, lubrication system and external forced air system.

Question 5: Is the 2160 HP motor referenced in the SOW accurate?

Answer 5: The 2160 HP is not accurate. The SOW has been revised to reflect the revision. The requirement is for the replacement of the 2350HP motor.

Question 6: Does the Government want a complete new DC motor system uprated from the 2350HP or the replacement of the existing motor with a new up-to-date duplicate one utilizing the grease lubricated bearings, the existing ventilation system and personal catwalk.

Answer 6: The requirement is only for the replacement of the 2350HP motor.
