Requirements:
This custom power supply shall consist of a fully enclosed assembly that will include:
AC input section comprised of an EMI filter, AC-DC PFC brick and hold up capacitors Input transient protection
Compatible for universal single phase 110/220V input
DC output section comprised of four (4) DC-DC converters to provide the ± 54VDC, 28VDC and 12VDC outputs.
Support components and individual heat sinks for each DC-DC converter. Input and output connectors for AC input and DC outputs
External conducted EMI filter
Ten (10) threaded mounting studs on the top cover (per specification)
Six (6) sided metal enclosure not exceeding 6.5"W x 4"H x 9.S"L (minus studs)
Cooling fan
Conformal coating on PCBs
The supply shall conform to the performance specification for ASTEP MOD I Multiple- Output Switching Power Supply (see following pages).
The base power supply, at a minimum, will be designed to meet FCC class A conducted emissions.
Additional external filtering may be used to supplement this product to meet MIL- STD-461 requirements.
Power supplies must be designed to meet international electrical product safety standards. All major subcomponents must contain at least one international safety marking of CE, cTUVus or UL. The overall design does not require these markings.
Assemblies shall be constructed using techniques that are known to meet vibration specifications in a rugged, mobile environment.
Supply will be assembled to IPC class 2 standards. Either leaded or lead-free solder is acceptable.
Schedule:
The First Prototype is required 5 Months after Date of Award. With the Prototype, the
Contractor shall submit Factory Acceptance Testing Report in accordance with CDRL
A001 that demonstrates the unit conforms to MIL-STD-461E CE101, CD 102 and RE
101, RE 102.
Government will take 30 Days to test the First Prototype and shall then notify the
Contractor if the Prototype meets requirements or has failed testing.
After receiving the Government's approval of the First Prototype, 10 units shall be delivered 30 days thereafter, with a phased delivery of 10 units per month until all 70 units have been delivered.
