STATEMENT OF WORK

LASER SCANNER

1. INTRODUCTION

The Measurement Science Department Code MS13 at Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona

Division requires a laser scanner, 3mm probe, and articulating arm for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) of additively manufactured parts.

2. BACKGROUND

Qualification and certification of parts for Navy applications requires verification that the parts have the proper dimensions, geometry, and tolerances. The verification of dimensions, geometry, and tolerances is normally performed in a laboratory. A portable solution to verify dimensions, geometry, and tolerances is necessary to derive the maximum benefit from additive manufacturing. A laser scanner and arm can provide this portable solution.

3. REQUIREMENTS
