SCOPE
In order to meet this requirement, NWSC Corona Division requires the manufacturer to meet the requirements for the cradle pads, Missile Erection Bridge Pads 5638084 and the referenced technical drawings, specifications and revision documents. The vendor will manufacture rubber pads using the GFP cradle pad mold provided by NSWC Corona. Each finished cradle pad is composed of a rubber pad assembly built up from 3 molded pads from the GFP pad mold. One of the molded pads is cut on one end. The vendor will provide a Vulcanizing Mold Tool to vulcanize the three molded rubber pad parts into a subassembly rubber pad unit. The vendor will manufacture a steel backing plate (painted on one side) and adhere the subassembly rubber pad unit to the backing plate. The contractor developed Vulcanizing Mold Tool will be provided to the government when the parts have been accepted/delivered for retention and to be used on future contracts. The contractor will provide plywood and lumber shipping crates and crate the cradle pads after final acceptance and load on a government coordinated vehicle for shipping.
· NSWC Corona government personnel will perform periodic inspections at the contractor’s facilities during manufacture of the cradle pads.
· Final Inspection and Acceptance to be performed by NSWC Corona prior to payment.
· If the delivered cradle pads do not meet the drawing specifications, they will be returned to the vendor for repair at no additional cost to the government.
· Any deviations from the drawing must be submitted and approved as coordinated thru NSWC Corona government MS22 personnel before manufacturing of the cradle pads and acceptance/final acceptance is contingent upon inspection and approval of any Request for Variation (RFV) and final acceptance.
