The instrument shall also be able to output near-real-time data to a transmitting device via RS232 or RS 422/485 communications. The instrument shall have 4 acoustic beams with a 20 degree beam angle in a convex pattern to allow unobstructed transmit and receive of signals when utilized in a down or up looking manner in existing Flotation Technologies buoys with specialized in line load frames. Form, Fit, Function compatibility.

Environmental Specifications: Depth rating: Minimum 6000 meters Operating temperature -5 to 42 degrees C Battery Power: Internal Alkaline Batteries with a minimum of 400 watt hours are to be provided with the instruments and be sufficient to power the unit for up to one year at a 1 hour sample rate.

Software compatible with Windows 7 to test, perform set up, and download data from the instruments shall be provided. Software to view and display data shall be provided and be compatible with Windows 7.

Profiling Measurement Range with 1-4 meter cell size shall be up to at least 50 meters. It is understood that this may be limited to the number of scatterers in the water column and set up parameters.

The unit shall record temperature, current speed and direction, tilt and roll of the unit, and echo intensity of the signal.

Each individual instrument shall be provided in an individual shipping case with roller wheels, spare parts, power supply, and cables, and tools to set up and communicate with the instrument.

Each ADCP shall have a printed and bound complete manual for the unit! An electronic version may also be included.
