FOUO C04.05 Solicitation Q&A #1

Q1: Section 2.2.6.2.1 mentions Public works drawing 20143 – 20144 can we get a copy of those drawings?

A1: Can be found at https://beta.sam.gov/opp/5c85c10a70194d658d6c36a45e8e14a1/view?keywords=N4523A21Q5702&sort =-relevance&index=opp&is_active=true&page=1

Both Drawings are contained in the file: “FOUO C04.01.1 SOW Attachments PDF Portfolio”

Drawings within the file are named as SOW PWD 20143 and 20144

Q2: Section 2.2.8.4.3 speaks of cross walks, however the dimension over end truck to existing building truss does not appear to have the needed 45” (+ or – 3”) height required by OSHA for hand rail. If it is deemed after field check that handrail height will not be obtainable will tie off methods be acceptable?

A2: 2.2.8.4.4 The trolley shall have OSHA approved handrails and toe boards around the perimeter of the trolley. If the crane envelope limits the handrail height on the trolley then handrails shall be omitted, and approved fall protection points shall be designed and located on the trolley, see section 2.2.6.3.1.

Q3a: Section 2.2.10.5 talks about an “Engineering Workstation” Does that work station include a Lap Top Computer?

Q3b: If so is one needed for each crane or one that works for both cranes?

A3a: Typically, the Engineering Workstation is provided as a rugged laptop type computer suitable for an industrial environment. The general term ‘engineering workstation’ has been used to accommodate multiple types of diagnostic, calibration, or programming equipment that can achieve the specification requirements, to include a ruggedized laptop computer. If a laptop computer alone cannot perform all of the technical specification required functions, supplemental diagnostic, calibration, programming equipment shall be provided.

A3b: An Engineering Workstation meeting the technical specification is to be provided for each crane.
