SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 0001

I. The following Question(s) and Answer(s) shall be considered when submitting quotations for solicitation N42158-19-Q-0010:

Question 1 - What is the dry Ice being used for? the size you specify is rare. Typically there are 2 sizes, 1/8"(rice) and 5/8" pellets. If the dry Ice is being used for a blasting application for cleaning it is typically 1/8".

Answer 1 – This material is not being used for blasting, it is being used for cooling of large mechanical components for disassembly. ½” was a size that was originally determined to be a common size available. 5/8” would also be acceptable and serve the same purpose, this would not change the total quantity required. The SOW have been revised to also add 5/8” in paragraph 3.5.

Question 2 - I see there are 4 line items for 7000lbs each. What is the delivery frequency? Daily, weekly, monthly or per request.

Answer 2 – Per paragraph 3.6 of the SOW, NNSY will request Dry Ice in batches during the Period of Performance.

The Contractor shall deliver each batch within 48 hours of NNSY request.

Question 3 – In the Statement of Work, Section 3. REQUIREMENTS, paragraph 3.10, it is stated that the Contractor shall deliver, however per paragraph 3.11, it states that the material will be picked up. Please clarify.

Answer 3 – In early discussions the project wanted the “OPTION” to pick up material if vendor was not able to deliver when needed. In later discussions it became apparent since this was hazardous material the project would not just be able to send a truck over to pick up, because of the special roadway controls that are required to transport hazardous material. The SOW have been revised to remove the NNSY pickup option from paragraph 3.11 in its entirety.
