Statement of Work For N4 Common Controller CF-20 Panasonic Toughbooks
1.0 Purpose
The Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Decision Support System (JEOD DSS) located at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) Code D13 requires the Panasonic CF-20 Toughbooks in order to meet the Program of Record (POR) requirement for a Common Controller (CC). The Panasonic CF-20 Toughbook (CF-20G0831VM) is a model that is available to the JEOD DSS program and consists of a custom hardware configuration and BIOS configuration as mandated by the POR. Consistency in hardware specification and manufacture is required in order for the POR to support the Hard Drive images of the fielded Toughbook’s supported by the program.
The CF-20 is the chosen platform that replaced the CF-31 that previously fielded in support of the POR, due to end of life and the intended use of these toughbooks. The CF-20 provides support for pre-deployment and mission execution for the JEOD warfighter.
2.0 Requirements
Hardware supports the configurations to our existing equipment without having to recreate tools and will help deliver significant advantages, create efficiency while increasing productivity for the installation updates and distribution.
The JEOD DSS Common Controller (CC) also functions as the operational control unit or user interface for their POR. Due to the requirement for compatibility and interoperability, the JEOD DSS CC is provided with a custom hardware configuration as well as custom BIOS configuration. JSEOD POR’s are supported in the performance of functional testing based on this standardized and controlled configuration as needed and required by the JSEOD DSS requirements document. The purchase of additional systems are required to support growing mission requirements of the JSEOD EOD mission and more specifically, in this procurement, the US Navy.
